Internet Explorer's autofill function will find form fields such as Employee Name, Passwords, Addresses, and Emails and enter information that has been saved by the browser. An example of this would be opening an employee's HR profile and that employee's email and password change to the logged-in users. To correct this problem please follow the steps below.
Turn off Internet Explorer Autofill
- Click on the Tools menu icon. (Gear at the top right of the screen.)
- Click on Internet Options.
- Select the Content tab.
- In the AutoComplete section click on Settings.
- Uncheck Forms and User Names and Passwords on Forms.
- Click OK in the AutoComplete Settings Window.
- Click OK in the Internet Options Window.
Clear Internet Explorer autofill data
- Click on the Tools menu icon. (Gear at the top right of the screen.)
- Click on Internet Options.
- Select the Content tab.
- In the AutoComplete section click on Settings.
- At the bottom of the AutoComplete Settings window, click Delete AutoComplete History.
- Check Form Data and Passwords.
- Click Delete.
- Click OK in the AutoComplete Settings Window.
- Click OK in the Internet Options Window.
