? Introducing VAIRKKO’s Rider Portal – Now Available for All Scheduling Admins!
We are excited to announce that the Rider Portal, a groundbreaking feature within the VAIRKKO ecosystem designed to simplify and streamline ride-along scheduling, is now officially available to all VAIRKKO Scheduling Administrators. Originally introduced as an exclusive beta test, the Rider Portal has proven invaluable for EMS agencies looking to enhance efficiency, communication, and scheduling clarity.
? What is the Rider Portal?
The Rider Portal is an innovative tool enabling third-party riders, such as students and affiliated organization members, to directly request ride-alongs with EMS agencies. Seamlessly integrated into VAIRKKO's existing Scheduling Cloud, the Rider Portal eliminates the cumbersome manual processes traditionally involved in coordinating ride requests.
Third-party riders easily request ride-alongs by specifying their preferred dates and times directly through the Rider Portal. These requests automatically integrate into your VAIRKKO Scheduling Cloud for easy review and confirmation. Once confirmed, riders receive detailed notifications, significantly reducing no-shows and confusion.
✨ Key Features Now Available:
- Administrators can easily grant Rider Portal access to contacts at affiliated organizations, expanding seamless coordination.
- Instructors now have a dedicated landing page, providing visibility into their students’ schedules and ride requests, enhancing oversight and educational alignment.
- Instructors can generate detailed ride request reports to effectively monitor and manage student ride schedules.
- By using the Riders tab/button on your schedule, you can conveniently toggle on and off a visual count indicator for pending ride requests.
- Administrators can restrict ride requests based on the rider's field of study and affiliated organization, ensuring alignment with specific academic requirements.
- A first-come-first-served setting limits ride requests to one rider per shift, providing fairness and manageable scheduling.
- Administrators can block last-minute ride requests within a configurable timeframe before shifts begin, enhancing control and clarity.
- Scheduling flexibility allows administrators to assign shifts outside a rider’s requested availability, with clear warnings to maintain transparency.

Enhanced user interface updates now provide administrators with a simpler, more intuitive setup experience within the Rider Portal. Validation and labeling improvements reduce input errors, enhancing data accuracy and administrative efficiency.
? Bug Fixes and System Reliability

Centralizing ride-along requests ensures transparency and accountability across your operations. Enhanced digital communication with third-party riders and affiliated organizations reduces miscommunications and scheduling conflicts.
