Job Competencies can be directly linked to data that the VAIRKKO platform collects in other systems, such as Certifications Cloud, HR Cloud, Online Training Cloud, etc. These "System Competencies" compile data at the time of evaluation, or can provide real-time updates in the case of Career Goals.
There are two types of System Competencies: Absolute competencies show the numerical value calculation since the last evaluation or since the start of the Career Goal (i.e. "Complete 10 Online Training Courses"). They are rated on a five-point scale (Achieved Number / Goal Number). Relational competencies have a starting value, and calculate the percentage of progress towards a goal ( 1.0 - ( Final Value / (Starting Value - Goal Value) ) ). As an example of a Relational Competency, consider the following two examples:
Andre has 10 expired certifications at the time of his evaluation on June 1st. His manager sets a goal of zero expired certifications for the next Evaluation, which is set to be held on November 1st. Come November 1st, Andre has 2 certifications that are still expired. His score for the evaluation, therefore, is ( 1.0 - ( 2 / 10 - 0 ) ) = 80%. His evaluation is automatically scored 4/5 rate, and a system note is added to the competency stating that he reduced his number of expired certifications by 80%, going from 10 to 2. A system note is added for the evaluation on the closing date showing the raw data.
Jennifer has an attitude problem, and had 12 Behavioral Tracking points during her last review. Her manager sets the goal for Behavior Points for the next review at 0. She does okay, but still gets 7 more points before that review. ( 1.0 - ( 7 / 12 - 0 ) ) = 41.67%. She receives a 2/5 rate for the evaluation. A system note is added for the evaluation record that shows the raw data and the score of 41.67%.
In addition to the Rating being automatically populated, a note is automatically generated by the system to show the linked data values.
There are several pre-defined System Competencies that can be utilized. These are complete:
- Awards Assigned (absolute)
- Attendance Events (relational)
