Evaluation Types determine who the evaluator is (manager, peer, self, or direct-report) and who the evaluated personnel is (direct-report, peer, self, or manager). There are four Evaluation Types:
- Performance Evaluation - This is set up by a manager to evaluate the performance of his/her subordinate employees. Examples included Yearly Evaluations of your direct subordinates.
- Self Evaluation. At any time, personnel may initiate a self-assessment for their records. Management has the ability to comment on any of the competency details of the evaluation. System administrators will be able to configure whether or not to send self-evaluation reminders to employees one month in advance of scheduled evaluations. These Self Evaluations would prove useful to managers when completing the Performance Evaluations.
- Manager Evaluation. Initiated by the manager, this report allows managers to gather reviews from direct reports for the purpose of assessing managerial competencies. An “open-ended” evaluation can be created so that direct reports have the ability to evaluate their manager at any time. Providers should be able to enable/disable the “open-ended” evaluation for this type.
- 360º Evaluations. An evaluation for evaluating an employee by managers, peers, and direct reports using select criteria.
